Brunch with Review Australia

O N E  C A P P U C C I N O ,  T O  G O

Not all my brunches involve 5 outfit changes, a shot list and no actual consumption of food. I know, I know, where's the avo on toast!?
No no, this was a 'working' brunch and spilling coffee down my most Blair Waldorf inspired blouse was not what I had styled!
The brief was clear, create content for 5 Review Australia outfits, and trust me, it wasn't hard to make these styles look good!

I've got to admit, this one surprised me a little, opting for a tweed, pastel blend mini, this was a first! With those covered buttons and that subtle frill on the blouse I was feeling all kinds of Blair Waldorf in this look (someone get me a yogurt and meet me on the steps of the Met!).
To add some Just Another Mannequin flavour I styled in some modern accessories; my go-to round Ray-Bans, some perspex mules by Dazie and a leather trimmed, woven Sabo Skirt handbag.
As this was the first look, I wore it on my commute to the shoot. Walking through the streets of Surry Hills, I've never felt so sophisticated on a Tuesday morning!

Embracing the pastel vibe completely, for this look I paired a spotted pencil skirt which had not two, but three prominent colours (navy, pastel purple and turquoise) with a pastel purple, high neck top. I went one step further and opted to shoot in front of the fun neon sign at Cuckoo Callay (you may as well go all in, right!?).
Again, I paired this look with my perspex mules by Dazie, firstly, because they can make any outfit look cool and secondly because on location shoots I try to recycle my accessories! Shoes are heavy, and I like to pack light!

Someone once told me, you either suit a mustard yellow or you don't. I still don't know which side I'm on with this hue, but I tend to just wear what I want (even if it's not 'my colour').
If the tassel details on this one weren't already enough (they sooo were!) I decided to make things even more playful by adding a spotted silk scarf by Zeph & Co and neutral grey Belle & Bloom handbag.
Then, I scanned the room for the brightest vacant seat I could find and sat myself down while Karim from KH Productions snapped away!

Some might say I saved the best 'till second last with a, wait for it, pink. fringe. dress! I've had so many messages about this dress already and yes, it is as good as it looks! However, I must warn you, it will make you want to shake, shake, shake, like nobody's watching!
For this one, pairing nude accessories including my Belle & Bloom handbag and my-go Alias Mae heels was the obvious choice. That was more than enough!

I don't like to play favourites, but I must admit, I did shoot this last so that I could leave it on and wear it for the rest of the day!
A classic print, tailored and high waisted, these pants were everything I wanted them to be and more! Styled with an off-the-shoulder, classy black top and I was ready to take on the world (after I got the shot of course!). I've gotta say, I usually find off-the-shoulder things really uncomfortable (but totally worth it) but not this top; it fitted perfectly meaning no ride-ups or awkward arms that can't move.
Going for an all black outfit, I couldn't resist breaking it up with a nude Saylor and Saige belt, dusty pink Tony Bianco mules and my staple gold necklace from The 604.

And that's a wrap!
