Salty skin, long days turning into nights and blissful beach days spent dipping in and out of the ocean. Oh yes, a sun-kissed Summer is something I’m always craving.
It’s my favourite time of year, and of course, my favourite kind of wardrobe. There’s something about being able to throw on a breezy dress or beautiful bikini and call it a day.
It’s just easy, and filling my Summer wardrobe with go-to styles I can throw on without a thought is what makes it that way.
As always, my 2022 Summer wardrobe will be full of carefully curated, obsession-inducing styles I can’t stop wearing, and thanks to Nina Apres Swim, I’ll be upping the anti on 3 of my favourite trends.
Here’s what they are…
1. CUT OUTS
It just wouldn’t be a balmy beach wardrobe without a bit of extra skin out on display. Yep, open back dresses, statement silhouettes and cut outs in all the right places are here to stay.
Pieces like the Sophia One Piece show us how to effortlessly incorporate this trend, with criss-crossed cut outs featuring entirely up the swimsuit’s side. Meanwhile, the Theodora Dress shows us a more understated approach, with a simple open back set alongside delicate hand-cut embroidery.
It’s classy cut outs like this that my Summer wardrobe dreams are made of.
2. TASSELS & TEXTURES
Incorporating texture goes a long way in my neutral-obsessed, minimal wardrobe, and this season it comes in the form of tassels, silk and elegant embroidery.
Infusing all of the above is the Orhridia Fringe Skirt, which is the kind of statement you’re destined to turn heads in. It’s all things earthy and elegant, with a fringe hemline made for movement.
Pair it with the silky Galla Top and you’ve got yourself an outfit you won’t stop musing over. With a deep v-neckline, embroiled detail and dreamy colour combination, I’ve got a feeling this one is set to become a serious Summer staple.
3. FRESH WHITES
There’s no better season for breezy, crisp white looks than a balmy Summer. In my personal opinion, white on white on white never goes out of style, but this season I’m taking it up a notch with a couple of simple staples.
The Basillica Blouse is the kind that will pair with almost anything, featuring statement sleeves, intricate embroidery and a delicious silk fabric, it’s the perfect mix of sophisticated yet understated.
