WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A WEEKEND AT EVAMOR VALLEY MUDGEE

Monday, December 6, 2021

As an avid camper, there's a few things that keep me coming back.

Like having nowhere to be.
And relying on nothing but nature to become my alarm clock.
It's the chats we have across the bonfire.
And the way we connect when there's almost nothing around us except each other.
It's the smell of smoke I just can't get out of my hair.
And the sound of a tent zipper telling me it's time to get up in the morning.
It's the having everything and nothing all at once.
Simple and stripped back.

Well, that's exactly what you get when you stay at Mudgee's newest glamping experience; Evamor Valley. It's everything about camping you know and love, except instead of setting up in the rain and arguing with your partner over who forgot the tent poles, you walk right in to your eco-tent with everything set up (including the kitchen sink!).

Yep, if you like the idea of swapping sleeping bags for linen sheets and a king bed, this is a camping experience you'll want to put on your bucket list.

When you arrive you'll find all the luxuries you never knew you needed. From complimentary robes and slippers, to a fully fledged luxury bathroom, air-con, coffee machine and kitchenette, all styled to perfection.
You'll also find a private fire pit and BBQ, with a fully stocked kitchen full of utensils (so you can pack light!) and spend your weekend tucked away in your tent with absolutely no reason to leave.

Although, considering your eco-tent is perched on an 80 acre working farm, there's lots to explore outside the canvas walls. We wandered through the cow paddock all the way down to the billabong, and watched native kangaroos jump through the vines every morning right from our tent's front porch.

The property, which is situated right in the heart of Mudgee, also makes it all too easy to get into town and explore the region's array of delicious wineries.
With everything just a short drive away, we spent our time shopping at the local boutiques, cheese (and wine!) tasting as we ate our way through town!

The best part though? Enjoying locally sourced produce and a glass of wine right there in our eco-tent. After picking up a few goodies on our travels, we spent the entire evening talking around the fire pit and eating our favourite finds!

In between we played ring toss and doted on resident farm dog Jackie, who seemed to enjoy the fire chats and star gazing as much as we did.

With just a 3 hour drive, a good night's sleep and a weekend spent unplugged, we were able to completely reset with our stay at Evamor Valley.
